47 Meters Down Uncaged 2019 follows the diving adventure of four teenage girls (Corinne Foxx, Sistine Stallone, Sophie Nélisse, and Brianne Tju) exploring a submerged Mayan City. Once inside, their rush of excitement turns into a jolt of terror as they discover the sunken ruins are a hunting ground for deadly Great White Sharks. With their air supply steadily dwindling, the friends must navigate the underwater labyrinth of claustrophobic caves and eerie tunnels in search of a way out of their watery hell.
A group of five girls from different backgrounds and countries is united by their lust for life and adventure in the coastal metropolis of Recife. Looking to get off the well-worn tourist trail, they hear about a hidden underwater ruin from a local guide and seize the opportunity to discover their Atlantis beneath the turquoise waves.
Unbeknownst to them, the caves where the forgotten city lies are not completely uninhabited, and as they swim deeper into the submerged labyrinth of caves they enter the territory of the deadliest shark species in the ocean. The film was released in Spain on August 15, 2019, and the United States on August 16, by Entertainment Studios and it received mixed reviews from critics.

47 Meters Down Uncaged 2019 Production & Release:-
In September 2017, it was announced that production studio The Fyzz Facility was working on the sequel to Meters Down titled 48 Meters Down, in which Johannes Roberts, Ernest Riera, and James Harris will both return as director/writer, co-writer, and producer, respectively. The sequel will take place in Brazil and center around a group of young women who decide to explore some hidden underwater ruins located the off-the-beaten trail.
Production will be overseen by Altitude Film Sales, with potential buyers being sought in Toronto. In August 2018, the film’s first trailer was released with a new official title 47 Meters Down The Next Chapter. By December of the same year, it was announced that the film had been re-titled, as 47 Meters Down Uncaged.
Entertainment Studios handled distribution for the film, and initially set release for June 28, 2019. In February 2019, it was announced the release date pushed back to August 16, 2019, to avoid competition with Annabelle Comes Home. As of August 19, 2019, Good Boys has grossed $9.2 million in the United States and Canada, and $1 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $10.2 million. In the United States and Canada, the film was released alongside Blinded by the Light, Where’d You Go, Bernadette and Good Boys, and was projected to gross $11–14 million from 2,853 theaters in its opening weekend. It made $3.2 million on its first day, including $516,000 from Thursday night previews. The film went on to debut to $8.4 million, down from the original’s $11.2 million and finishing in sixth.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 50% based on 60 reviews, with an average rating of 4.74/10. The website’s critical consensus reads, “47 Meters Down Uncaged may not be as ruthlessly efficient as its finned villains, but fans of shark peril thrillers should find it just chummy enough.
“On Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, the film has a score of 44 out of 100, based on 16 critics, indicating “mixed or average reviews.” Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of “C+” on an A+ to F scale, while those at PostTrak gave it an average 2.5 out of 5 stars and a 52% “definite recommend.
