GOM Player info:-
GOM Player is a fantastic free media player for Windows. It is well known for its high video and audio playback quality and support of multiple video formats, but there’s much more to this program than codec support. Not only will Player give you high quality video and audio playback, but it also plays broken, damaged and downloading files, where many other media players fail. It even supports VR and 360° video playback and YouTube streaming. With custom configuration options, advanced users can enhance the video view experience. Player (short for Gretech Online Movie Player) is a media player for Windows, developed by the & Company of South Korea.
Its main features include the ability to play some broken media files and find missing codecs using a codec finder service. With access to the largest subtitle database in the world, Player users can easily add correct subtitles to videos. Once you play your video, GOM Player automatically searches the database and gives you a list of compatible subtitles to choose from in available languages. Once you’ve chosen the subtitle you want to use, simply click apply and it will automatically download, be applied, and sync to the audio playback.

I like this player because its internal codecs allow it to play “oddball” files. For example, somebody digitized the film prints of an old Japanese anime – Sherlock Hound. Whoever did the encode decided to use a combination of H.264 video, Vorbis audio and put it in an MKV wrapper. The Dixv player couldn’t get the Vorbis codecs, neither could Real Player or Windows Media Player.Player played it correctly on the first try. Overall: “Pretty Darn Good”. Just have the folks at Greetech get rid of the “high-ascii” garbage in the time slider bar.
GOM Player Subtitles:-
The latest version of GOM Player supports the following subtitle formats:
- Unicode Text Subtitles
- SAMI (.smi)
- SubRipText (.srt), MicroDVD (.sub), SMIL/RealText
- SubStation Alpha (.ssa), Advanced SubStation Alpha (.ass)
- DirectVobSub (.sub + .idx)
- Embedded subtitles of ASF, MKV, OGM
GOM Player Customization:-
GOM Player’s skinable interface and advanced filter controls make it highly customization, allowing users to personalize their experience to fit their needs. Download new skins and logos from the GOM Player website! Another significant feature of GOM Player is that where it can’t play the audio or video of a media file natively, it will try to find an appropriate external codec which will play that file format, using the format’s GUID, a unique identifier for the required codec.
On finding a match, it will direct the user to a webpage where the codec can be downloaded and installed. You can control GOM Player with Remote. This includes all basic functions, such as moving forward/back, play, and pause. This also includes advanced functions, such as opening files, searching, and PC power control.
Player is now available in Android and iOS versions. You can enjoy watching videos not just on your PC, but also on your mobile device. Enjoy watching videos easily with Mobile Player any time, anywhere. A survey of usage over a single week by Metrix, an internet survey company.
found that 69.8% of users watched pornography, 43.2% watched cinematic movies, 29.6% watched television dramas, 21.8% watched variety shows, 11% watched cartoons, and 7% watched music videos. This is in line with South Korea being allegedly the greatest spender per capita on pornography, even though local production of pornography is illegal. Gretech disputes the credibility of this report.
