Hostages 2019 info:-
Hostages 2019 Hotstar’s new original series that dropped on the online streaming platform on 31 May, is just that full of gaping holes in its plotlines and character arcs. Director Sudhir Mishra’s first web outing is less firecracker and more damp squib. Which is a pity, because the premise is pretty compelling Renowned surgeon Dr. Mira Anand and her family are taken hostage by four masked terrorists on the eve of a career-defining surgery.
The only way to save her family is by agreeing to kill her patient — CM Khushwant Lal Handa — on the operating table. The ring leader of the operation, a former celebrated police officer, Prithvi Singh, assures her that she will walk out of the debacle with her career intact. All she has to do is splash a few drops of an undetectable poison on her scalpel before the start of the surgery and no one will be able to pin the blame on her.
But can Mira, a principled and committed surgeon, agree to kill a patient knowingly? The show is fast-paced and taut, even if the script defies logic and reason, and asks its viewers to take giant leaps of faith. Within the first couple of episodes itself, the characters are well established.
Hostages 2019 Production:-
Director Sudhir Mishra said, “When I saw the original version I was struck not only by its gripping plot but the brilliance with which each characters revealed themselves. Ronit’s character is amazingly layered and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a female character like the one Tisca plays. Parvin’s character has an amazing graph as well.
The opportunity to adapt this for India and to direct this powerful ensemble is what directors’ dreams are made of!” Talking about her character Tisca Chopra said, “Being in an incredibly high-pressure job, I portray a very fascinating character who is wearing several different hats.
Her character is extremely relatable to most women who have had to struggle with jobs at hand while being a role model mother. Sudhir Mishra has identified the nuances that make for a good thriller series and have seeded in exemplary direction for Hostages.
I am glad to be a part of this show.” Adding his take on the series, Ronit Roy also commented, “Things heat up quite fast in ‘Hostages’ and it begins with my character Prithvi Singh – superintendent of police. The level of tension fuelled by several plots, twists, and mystery is sure to keep the viewers guessing.
With a brilliant director like Sudhir Mishra and excellent co-actors including Tisca Chopra, Parvin Dabas and Dalip Tahil, the show is packaged so well that you will find yourself binge-watching the episodes just to find out what happens next.”
Arshad Warsi stated, “Whenever in a story you reach a point where the viewer thinks there is no way out, I find those stories very interesting. And for a web series, you must have that hook at the end of the episode where you want to know what happens next. Hostages has all these elements that makes for a great watch!” Nawazuddin Siddiqi said that. Please See More Information……..
